I am shaken by an experience I hope no one else has to endure. I had a liver transplant 23 years ago and have been seeing the same Doctor in the practice (who recommended the transplant) for the last 23 years. On June 28 I faxed a letter to him (which I do every year) asking for a renewal prescription for my cyclosporine. After seeing numerous physician's, two trips to the ER, and a hospitalization, it was Dr. Schleinitz who discovered that I had 3 esophageal ulcers and other stomach problems. Years later, he discovered that I had to have a portion of my colon removed. The surgeon later told me he had never seen anyone come so close to having colon cancer without actually having it. Dr. Schleinitz saved my life -- twice! He is very intelligent, kind, compassionate and a great physician... I appreciate him!
