Dr. Dixon has been amazing throughout my husband's struggle with cirrhosis. We moved back up here after his diagnosis to be near family and she was able to get us scheduled quickly and has stayed on top of his condition. From managing medications to getting him referrals for a transplant. Everything has been exactly what I could hope for from a doctor that's treating a loved one. Definitely will recommend if anyone needs a gastroenterologist!
I was seen by nurse practitioner Vanessa during my visit, and I left feeling like I wasn’t really heard. The interaction felt rushed and a bit impersonal, which isn’t what I look for when I’m seeking care. On the positive side, the young lady at the front desk who checked me in was kind and welcoming. The clinic itself was nice, but I prefer a provider who shows genuine care and attentiveness — and I didn’t feel that from the provider I had seen.
Was told I needed a colonoscopy and my part of the fee would be so and so amount. Then I start getting more bills and it ends up being over 500.00. I would not have had the procedure at that time if I had known that. I've seen 2 different PA's at the Demorest location and honestly I felt like they could care less. The follow up from my colonoscopy did not even know what condition and follow up I needed so she was just rude.
Physicians assistant was not thorough like previous one. Nurses were not knowledgeable about the disease they called to inform me I had. I had a very difficult time getting my prescription to my pharmacy so I could have it picked up. Now running an oral temp of over 100° and my normal is 97.8°. Great front desk staff! Very efficient and kind. The nurse seemed hurried and rushed. Not necessarily the friendliest and perhaps she had too much on her mind and it showed. She seemed incredibly frustrated. The nurse practitioner was resourceful yet superficial and can appear condescending and a tad arrogant. I wouldn't say she would be known for her pleasantries nor her bedside manner but we all do have our different personalities.
