Dr Robert Wharton performed a colonoscopy and upper GI scope yesterday at St Anthony’s Hospital in St Petersburg, Florida. Dr Wharton is a very knowledgeable and a very experienced Gastroenterologist. Hevhas reputation as being the best Gastroenterologist in Pinellas County. He does live up to his reputation. He is very thorough and explained the procedures and results. His current patients and future patients are fortunate to have Dr Wharton practicing in our geographic area. Beware! Fraud. They don't explain how their fishing bills work even when you ask them, so they just mention their facility fee and then you get charged and charged excessive fees that you have to pay out of pocket. $3200 for an anesthesiologist for a 10 minute esophagoscopy, then other bills from the pathologist, then the doctor and who knows who else, because I keep getting bills with absurd amounts. The receptionist Debbie at the satellite office, was the most hostile and unapproachable person. It sets a bad tone for the practice. The provider and scheduler were pleasant and accommodating. If getting a colonoscopy wasn't already off putting enough your first encounter at the office should at the very least be friendly and kind
