I had had a rough and busy day and drove in to Gastonia, so that I could relax. As expected, Gaston Pour House was the right choice. The atmosphere was inviting, from the bartenders to the other patrons. Not to mention, that the Smoked Old Fashioneds were delicious and so well made. I don't make it on there enough, but I will be back.
This place is a mixed bag. First time visiting was a week day and my group had a fantastic time. Eager to return we found a different bartender who was a nightmare... we left immediately. Why risk having a good time? Avoid this establishment. That said... the pretzel with cheese dip is pretty amazing.
The iced coffee and pastry were both good. The staff were friendly.
