The vets are great, but the front office and archaic phone system are horrific. While there are some friendly receptionists, the majority need help with customer service. We arrived for an appointment, attempted to call per arrival and indicate parking spot (Covid), however never got through. For 20 minutes. We were directly transferred to hold. I rescued my cat Chloe the precious princess from here when she was a baby, she's now going on 8 yrs old. She has been a patient here all of her life, and I can honestly say the doctors and staff are always helpful, friendly and supportive when necessary. I unfortunately do not take my fur baby here because I have moved out of state, but I highly recommend Gasow to anyone who is looking to adopt or wants their pet treated with kindness, compassion and consideration. Unfortunately I have only had a few good experiences there, but many very bad experiences, so many that I will never return. I fear the sale of the practice may have changed it as it used to be well rated. Dr. Witherell is nice, but incompetent, poor in her knowledge and undertstanding, and ended up euthanizing our pet, and Dr. Les broke off a mercury thermometer in the butt of a tiny foster kitten, causing much trauma, evacuation of the entire clinic, and a hazmat team to clean. Gasow Veterinary Hospital has completely blown me away today and yesterday. I spoke with them about my dog who has been having issues. Not only did they completely comfort me and take care of me, they went above and beyond for my dog and I want to make sure others know how great this place is and the people that work in it. I understand it’s challenging dealing with circumstances beyond your control, but the same holds true for everyone else as well. Trying to get through on the phone is difficult. I learned this through my personal experiences; and even the doctor who examined my pet said she had to wait for an open line to communicate with me. With everything being conducted through the phones it has been increasingly difficult to get through, as well as hold times can be longer than usual. Always amazing. Have always been able to get me in quick, whether due to cancellation or same day walk in appt. Have worked with multiple docs, all sweet, informative and patient with us, especially Dr. Witherell. Thank you Gasow!
We’ve had such great experiences here with all 3 of our dogs. Finn and Marcy especially love coming to the vet and the staff is always so wonderful. We have seen many of the doctors here and we get great care from all of them.
I absolutely love this vet. my original vet couldn't see my cat who was not going to bathroom and so I took her here. Dr Thompson is amazing she really took the time to listen to what I was telling her was wrong. I will definitely continue to take my cat here.
