Poor food and service, a group of 10 and everyone was disappointed. Food was not fresh, overcooked and lacked flavour. The hotel appears nice, but the restaurant doesn’t match this quality. The tables were set incorrectly, long waits for any requests and multiple mistakes in the orders.
Dinner at the Hardyman Hotel in Galway was underwhelming. The dining room lacked atmosphere, with cheap furniture, plastic plants, and unused tables giving it a storage-room feel. While the staff were friendly, slow service and poor training let them down. The food was good, but the space doesn’t match the charm of the hotel. A missed opportunity in an otherwise lovely setting.
Had been here last year and everything was lovely. Went to the Gaslight Brasserie for my mother's 60th Birthday in November 2024 and honestly the experience ruined the evening for us. Waiting over 25 minutes for drinks (had to ask about them twice before they finally arrived), over 30 minutes for starters, half the party were served their mains and it took 10 minutes for the next lot of food to arrive for the other half, food was lukewarm as were the sides, and food was mediocre at best. Cannot recommend this restaurant. The waiter was unfriendly and we felt unwelcome the entire time. The food took forever to come out, was very expensive and honestly, just disappointing.
I tried to go to the Gaslight Brasserie, but when I got there they said it was closed. Google said it was open! I’m giving it 5 stars for honestly gaslighting me.
