It’s really getting ridiculous with the high pressure sales tactics to purchase wash packages. I had an employee (Adam was the name on the refund reciept but he was a bearded guy) today that wouldn’t stop even after I said no I’m not interested at least a dozen times. After being constantly interrupted I finally drove away from him up to the wash to go through. He was so upset that he refused me service for the wash I already paid for. This is a newer Gas N Wash so I am surprised how low quality the car wash is. Even with the $22 wash I find my car is still dirty. Multiple times the car wash has been inexplicably closed or the towels and sprays are for some reason "unavailable". Also, this is the only location where employees continuously harass you about the membership. Even when I firmly say no they still ask "Why?"... I hate the sales pitch at the car wash. And the fact that they will grab your debit card and try to do the touch screen for you. I want to do it myself and I do NOT want anyone grabbing my card. One time I was using apple pay and he tried grabbing my phone to “help” which is insane. I say I don’t want the membership, but that’s not enough, they keep pressuring and I had to be stern and say no, then the salesman rudely says “I hope you have a better day” due to how I reacted to his extreme pressuring. I got a $20 car wash yesterday. At the machine I had to basically argue with the employee I don’t want the membership. I had to reach around him to tap my card. I come out of the car wash all 4 sides of my car are still dirty. It looks like a 10 years old sprayed my car off with a hose and that’s it missed 30% of the salt. This is a small car. No hitch. Drove to Yorkville and paid another $20 and now have a clean car!
