Dr. Cole is a people person and a great physician.
Dr. Cole as usual was very friendly, listen about my physical ailments. He checked me over, made sure he was up to date on any changes I had been through since my last appointment. Checked my medications and make sure they were correct. He offered suggestions that might work better. Send me to the lab for blood work. End of story!
I have a special needs uncle who used Dr Cole as his PCP. Somehow he went there multiple times per year and yet did not receive pneumonia vaccine, tetanus vaccine, nor was referred to GI for a colonoscopy despite being well above the age recommended to start screening. He was on 15 salt tabs per day for a low sodium level and apparently that didn't prompt Dr Cole to question that or refer him to nephrology. Btw, he is off all sodium tabs now and is just fine. I have been going to this doctor for over 10 years and to be honest the integrity and honesty has drastically fallen. I have caught the doctor and staff in a number of untruths and on 3 occasions, forgot to call in prescribed medication. I had a visit on 5/2/2018 which was the worst yet...I’m seriously going to have to shop for another general practitioner in my area, but at this point maybe an hour drive to a large city w/an actual caring & honest staff is my next step..truly heartbreaking
I chose Dr. Gary Cole upon turning 65 and my start with TRICARE for Life, which is the combination of TRICARE and Medicare. The Military Medical Facility gave me a list of local doctors who were accepting new patients and who had agreed to the terms the government had established. I hit my computer and checked them all out. Dr. Cole had 5 stars on every website I checked and he was nearby. I've been with him for 7 years and he's the best doctor I have ever had. He really does care ABOUT me.
