Having periodontitis at a young age, I was worried about the pain and future teeth loss. He ended up doing an implant, which looks fantastic and with little pain (it didn't hurt until the numbing wore off.) He has all the updated tools and resources to numb, if needed. He did not talk down to me or make me feel embarrassed about my poor dental hygiene. His staff are knowledgeable and actually give sound advice. My gums and teeth care have improved.
With all the competition in this town you think you would be treated with respect. My regular dentist referred me to Dr Shellerud to look at my inflamed gums. I went in to Dr Shellerud and received a consultation and a follow up appointment. I had been using tooth whitening that had been aggravating my gums. After I quit using the whitening my gums went back to normal. I sent back the written prescriptions that I had not filled with a letter stating that I needed to cancel my appointment. He numbed me that I didn't feel it. extracted a tooth that was on to my sinus and packed bone in for extra strength and recommended not to do implant since there were no teeth on the bottom and I had enough chewing teeth all together on that side. I was really pleased with his knowledge and communication skills.
