Hello All, Please do not take this for granted… Dr. Gary Ruben’s saved my live under emergency circumstances. Bowl resection and hernia in 2024 …He is an excellent surgeon. Thank you Dr Ruben bunches!!!
Where to begin? My previous physician retired and he referred his patients to Dr. Ruben. When weet for my first consultation I was really happy. We had a rapport developed within the first 15 minutes. My issues stem from trying to schedule the procedure Dr. Ruben said I needed. The person that handles the scheduling leaves a lot to be desired. When your call IS answered, you are invariably told that, "I will call you right back". I've never received a call back. Very disappointed with this office and their lack of communication. My mom had an appointment with Dr. Ruben a few weeks ago and the office did not contact her that the doctor was out for an emergency. They had rescheduled her for today and when we called to verify if the appointment was still happening, there was no one to answer the phone and no way to leave a message. We tried going again (which is a far trip for us) and the office wasn't even open.
Dr Ruben is an excellent Surgeon. He all but saved my life after being taken to Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring with excruciating abdominal pain. His aftercare has been thorough and very effective and manner very professional, his assistants very cheerful and amicable. My experience has been one of complete satisfaction, so much so that I looked forward to every returning followup session. I highly recommend him as one of the absolute best.
