Hi all, I just returned from 4 days of "Sharon Salzberg and Sylvia Boorstein: Cultivating the Kind Heart as the Path to Liberation" at the Garrison Institute. A wonderful experience, now it is time to put it into practice. Off the cushion, away from the retreat, and now into the real world. As my grandmother always used to say, "practice not perfection." The only thing that could have been better is if it were 7 days
I was originally there, years ago, as a Capuchin Friar. I was there also as a participant at the Institute for the weekend. One of my high points was to show people around the building to tell them what things/places were when it was a Monastery.
