We booked rooms over a year in advance to for a wedding. About 4 months prior to the wedding we checked on the rooms, only to find that they had already given out half of the rooms for that weekend, to people that were not even related to the wedding. It was a battle every week to get any available rooms and instead of the owners calling the other people and explaining their mistake, they just told us that they couldn't do anything. The best "hunter's motel" I've ever stayed in. Number of dogs is roughly equal to the number of people inside. Excellent amenities for hunters. Rags for guns and dogs. Ice! How much do you want. Coffee. Microwave access, too. Mr. and Mrs. Jeffries and their staff do an outstanding job. Close access to gas, groceries, and the excellent restaurant in town. Also, owners are knowledgeable of area resources, e.g veterinarian, restaurant, hunting areas and etc.
