The emergency room is the absolute worst! My father was flown to Garnet Middletown and they treated my elderly mother like trash. Wouldn't allow a woman who was at her obvious physical and emotional limits to sit in the waiting room so other family members could see my father, but allowed a family of 6 to sit in waiting room eating Mcdonalds and countless others to sit there. When it comes to emercency rooms this place is horrible. I had a note saying i had to be admitted and my doctor called ahead and i waited 9 and a half hours to go into a room. I have high cricital issues and thats how long i waited to even get into a room. I seen many get taken ahead of me who came way after me who didnt appear to be sick and many people sick sitting and waiting. All i can say is bring a cooler and be prepared. This hospital is ATROCIOUS! My elderly Father has been waiting in the ER since 4:00pm yesterday, he just NOW at 1:30pm the next day got into a regular room. They need to fire everyone immediately and start from scratch. The most uneducated, uncaring staff I have ever come across. For starters, no one knows how to read an x-ray correctly. They'll say its one thing one minute, then an hour later come back and say, Oopsy, we read it wrong. (this has happened to us a handful of times here)! Don't even deserve 1 star when it comes to the emergency room, they don't do anything to care for their patients, it takes hours you should be called even, stag away from this hospital if possible
