DONT SETTLE WITH GARNER & CONNER UNTIL YOU CONTACT A LAWYER!!!!! I rate this collection agency a -10!!!! The staff that answers the phone are VERY rude and unprofessional. I have never been treated so rudely by an agency before until I met these people. I hate if for the people that HAVE to settle with Garner& Conner because again the staff act like they have never been professionally trained on phone etiquette.. Agreed, Terrible Company! First got a judgement against me saying I was served and I never was served or knew about this until 5 years later while attempting to sell some property. The statue of limitation had expired. The interest had been accruing during those 5 years and they wouldn't settle any of the debt and I am disable and live on disability income only. Unprofessional con artist...don’t try to settle a debt with them ... their just pimps in a suit... shady practices... no follow through...no legal documentation. I offered the company $1000 to settle. The assistant Michael said they counter offered $2300... I accepted the offer on a Monday and he told me he would check with the client and call me back on Friday to say they wanted to renegotiate for $3300. I paid the amount showing, online, I FULL on Jan 3, 2020. I received a bill by mail on Jan 13, 2020. I had a ZERO BALANCE. I owe NOTHING MORE. I owed a credit card and was unable to pay for an extended period of time. Once I was able to secure a loan for the amount owed, I contacted the credit card company to get the number where the payment should go. I was directed to a collections company who then directed me to Garner and Conner PLLC. I called FIVE times with no returned calls to pay in full at that time. MONTHS later I ... read more

Horrible. I was working in good faith with them to pay a debt. They had made a settlement offer that I was willing to pay but let me know...by email, which I never saw because I don't check it often and it went into my spam folder. They had always sent letters, like a proper law office should do, but this time I had no idea they had accepted a settlement because I didn't receive a letter.
