i went there and asked for a simple haircut. The first thing he said was pay me first. I ain’t never had to pay before the cut. After the cut i told him i didn’t like it and he refused to give my money back. i told him my hairline was pushed back and crooked and he said i don’t push hairline back and then tried to put my head in a certain angle to make it look straight. Worst barber in East Orange

Excellent experience. Googled for a neighborhood barber shop and came across Garden State Barbershop which is local to me and black owned which was definitely a plus to support in my own community. Bashir was patient with my toddlers and their shapeups were excellent. The boys left happy, and I was happy with the result, price, professionalism, and family atmosphere that we found. We have found our permanent barber.

For 3 years, that's how long it took me to find a good barber, and a great barber at that! the barber name is kenny, he even told me and corrected the certain ways, my hair was being cut previously...I really appreciated that honestly, and the pics i am posting or of another customer he was cutting before me. Now 3 weeks ago i posted this review, now i am including the first shots of kenny cutting my hair for the first time...
