All about education and helpfulness
Pretty? Sure. Difficult to find graves? More so than other cemeteries. Friendly staff, absolutely. Drainage? Non-existent. This place is a SWAMP. Granted we've had way too much rain lately, but GOM is always wet - even in the dead of summer you'll find standing water covered with a rainbow chemical slick. Markers are submerged, puddles are eternal. I have more family buried there than probably anywhere else in Kansas, but I have to wonder why anyone would want to be planted in this soggy swamp.
My grandparents are here. May they rest in peace.
