Disappointed paying $14 for a sandwich with claimed “local fresh bread” while I watched the member of staff pull out a bag of Dempster’s bread that you can get at any grocery store. Flavour was alright. Ladies working had a nice demeanour. Atmosphere felt like a great place to have a coffee and chat with friends. Maybe not the best place for lunch…
The atmosphere/decor was beautifully done and the service was good. Unfortunately, my mom and I were really disappointed with the grilled cheese sandwiches. They weren’t properly grilled and the bread was very soft, with stringy cheese and no buttery/crispy exterior that we expected from a grilled cheese. For the price, we expected something much better. Very nice quaint little café to meet for coffee and snack or deserts.
