Not for Type 1s Dr. Garcia is a really good doctor...if you are a type 2 diabetic. For those of us with type 1, other doctors have more experience and skills. Although both types are diabetes and deal with the production of insulin, they are vastly different in a number of ways. I found that most of her experience was with type 2 or children with type 1. She also insisted on repeating blood tests three times because she did not believe the results were correct. After the third test, I found a new doctor.
