This elevator deserves ONE STAR at the most. So sorry I didn't notice the rating before. Still hoping my friend will get some help from someone.
Our custom made, 11 MONTH old, Waupaca elevator has never gone more than 2 months without a malfunction. This was purchased for a handicapped family member, not as a luxury item for lazy people. When it runs, there are intermittent rattles and lurches. We asked someone from Waupaca to determine if this is normal, as we had a lot of problems with the dealer/construction company but Gary at Waupaca told me that is something I will have to work out with the authorized dealer that sold it to us.
