About this business

Set in a transformed 1930s gas station, Gan Shan Station means Sunset Mountain. The brainchild of chef and owner, Patrick O’Cain, this restaurant has a changing menu inspired by the cuisines of Singapore, Thailand, Laos, China, Vietnam and Japan. The result is a changing array of delightful dishes that are inventive and exciting to the palate. The industrial-chic decor replete with birdcage light fixtures, an open kitchen and a lovely canine-friendly patio adds to the charm of the place.

The only people who enjoy this food are those who have basic palates. Sometimes Asheville is a dumping ground for untrained chefs and restauran... read more

Very small portion sizes. Was not worth the price. Cool atmosphere and good service is the only reason I gave 2 stars.

Amazingly friendly staff. We went around 5:30 and there was plenty of parking and no wait. The Okonomiyaki was amazing! Very affordable for the quality of the food!
