Went to the e r for chronic ear issues and was told by Dr patients we can't help you here . The worst visit to an er I've ever had . He pulled on my already sore ears till he made me cry then wouldn't do anything for me . I walked out ! Do not go to thus e r for chronic pain because they mark every chronic pain person that suffers daily a drug addict . I'm. Beyond pissed and I want him removed from that e r because he has always treated me with no respect !
I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to the pharmacy team at UAB West they were amazing. My mom was discharged and it was around 4:30pm ad she had about 20 prescriptions to be filed. We wasn't sure if the other pharmacies would have all of the prescriptions and instead of sending us on our way they jumped in and got them all filled and stayed late to do it. I just want to say thank you personally to the pharmacist Mitch and Sarah and Shy that also worked there and helped out.
What a day, we visited yesterday, everything was going well till the nurse, named Mark (I overheard a nurse say)a balding overweight white man, started bragging about beating his wife. It went so far as Mark did these exaggerated slap noises, two, with his hands in a swinging motion. The staff is hateful and rude . I will be filing a complaint with the medical board and UHC . No one should be so rudely
This hospital is an absolute nightmare! I can't fathom why they're even in business. After making me wait for over six agonizing months for my appointment, they casually cancel it with no explanation whatsoever. I'm told the doctor won't be available on that day—then why the hell did they make me endure six months of anticipation? When I had the audacity to call them back, they had the nerve to inform me that there's not a single doctor available within the VIVA UAB system for the next 12 months. After trying to get into a new PCP for the past 6 months, I ended up in the ER with dizziness, vomiting and intense body wide pain, feeling very ill. The doctor didn’t perform a single exam and treated me for a migraine I didn’t have. He then told me to get a PCP to “quarterback” all the symptoms I was having and released me. I still have the same symptoms I was in this ER for 3 YEARS AGO, because trying to find competent healthcare in B’ham is impossible! I had my Moderna #1 and #2 given there at your clinic, but tried for the third booster(immunosuppressed) this time could get no information from the six different people in six departments that I talked to at UAB West over a two day period. I had to give up because no one knew anything and did not even care enough to phone me back as promised. Finally after calling four different pharmacies, I found one that stocked the Moderna vaccine.
