I ordered four (4) cakes online to arrive the day before the event (as recommended by their website). They arrived late and were horribly smushed!!! When I contacted the bakery with my disappointment, I was originally told by Jackie-Sue that I would receive a full refund. Weeks have passed, several messages have gone back and forth, and today, I received a message from Ashley acknowledging that even though there was a "glitch" in their system, she could only offer a partial refund of the shipping. GREAT CAKES! Their white almond cakes are absolutely the best I've ever had. They are clean and the staff is helpful. Their prices are a bit expensive, but well worth it. During Mardi Gras, don't expect to get a King Cake from here without ordering it prior to! Sometimes even that goes wrong. Also, the store in New Orleans is much fresher than the one in Baton Rouge.
Absolutely Marvelous!! My mom and I used this bakery for her wedding cake and the groom's cake in March. The wedding cake was absolutely stunning. Everyone loved both cakes. The set up was beautiful. The guy who delivered the cake was a bit fresh but no complaints otherwise. The lady who baked/decorated the wedding cake was extremely polite and provided great tips for decorations, etc. I'll definitely use this bakery in the future!!
Best King Cake Ever Gambinos is one of the best places to buy your king cake when mardi gras comes in Baton Rouge. Their king cakes are perfectly filled and just the right texture. They are always soft and never hard. They offer many many fillings for their king cakes. One of my favorites is the pralines and cream. If you haven't tried a Gambino's king cake, try one from their this mardi gras season. You won't regret it!
Sad Cake – Spent $35.00 on a cake that was falling apart before I got back to the office. Was hoping for a good surprise for co-worker, but turned out pretty disappointing

I have used Gambino's bakery for years. When I was little we used to get cakes there. I got married in 2002 and they did a great job on the cake....I had several tiers and they took the real roses that I had delivered there and crystalized them in sugar. IT WAS GREAT. Also each year for my son's birthday I get his birthday cake there. They have always done a great job.....so much so that everyone looks forward to seeing his cake decorations each year. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them!!!!
