We rented two boats from Galveston Island Boat Rental. I guess we should’ve acknowledged the poor reviews left by previous customers, but we thought our experience would be different. Upon arriving, the boats were not in the condition we expected, based upon photos on their website. The boat that I drove was low on gas, but I was told that, if needed, I could call for more gas and they would come refill the boat. This company is a SCAM. The boat we rented had prior damage, and it had barely any gas when we received it. At the end of our rental, we made a mess with food and sunscreen and were trying to clean it up ourselves but the company told us to not worry about it. Then they proceeded to take pictures of the crumbs/sunscreen and of the PRIOR damage and charged us over $500 extra in damage fees. Apparently the same thing happened the day before with a different group. Would NEVER book this company again.
OMG we had a blast!! Super fun trip! We caught a ton of fish and then went to beach to filet & cook them!
