This place had the BEST pizza in ALL of San Antonio! Dear God why did they close? I stopped by after moving back to SA from Europe and was heartbroken to see they had closed some time ago. PLEASE COME BACK!!! Who do I need to set the GoFundMe to? PLEASE COME BACK!
I'm still searching for a replacement to gallo. Been through about 8 or so places within 410, another 7 in the NW. If anyone feels they find something similar (i.e., that sauce, those rare fresh ingredients, that crust!) Please post your thoughts here. I was so sad when gallo stopped stocking that fancy sausage :( i remembered, it was mastro salami!
This is the only place we wanted to go after I gave birth to our daughter. I was devastated to hear they had closed. If the owners see this, I'd like to contact you. Please update the phone number. Literally the best pizza and marinara we ever had. Seriously, I'd pay $200 just to eat here one more time. What do you say? Update: $300? Do you do private catering? :'( We miss you guys.
A serious loss for the culinary scene of S.A. Rip hopefully you will rise again like the fabled Phoenix.
I understand financial problems... But how can you close down for good? Especially without recommending other Pizzerias? I came here about 2 years ago, had the best pizza of my life. Met one of the coolest Pizzeria owners ever. And now, no mas?! Always looked forward going to San Antonio and getting a Gallo Pizza. Anyways, going to miss that pizza. I'd do anything for one of those pies next time I'm in town... Even if y'all made Garage Pizza's..... IM IN!!!
