We contracted with Gallivan’s for the installation of 6 trees, hardscaping and some perennials which were supposed to be deer resistant. They had 2 workers and equipment out here for about 4 days. First off the project was not that complicated, the spruce trees came from another local nursery and were of decent quality, the price tags left on them, three of the 6 trees are planted slightly crooked, they staked them in but staked them in crooked. The company I am employed with uses Gallivan for their snow removal and ice management services. They are they worst snow plow service I have seen to date. We have to call them repeatedly, and when the finally get on site, do a half ass job at best and their ice management skills are poor. Better off hiring a couple of teenagers to shovel your snow and apply rock salt. Would not recommend.
For the second Summer in a row I had Matt Ruston and his crew at Applied Soil/Mulch apply my mulch and the experience from contract negotiations to application was seamless. 27 yards of mulch was laid down meticulously and within an hour!
