We started looking for a builder for a knockdown re-build in 2025, visited all display homes north and south of Adelaide and in the hills numerous times. The Gallery Living homes really stood out to us for the unique designs, use of different building materials and suitability for outdoor entertaining. Excellent customer service and designs so different. Love the home we built. When we first walked through the display home in Mount Barker we were pleasently surprised on how different they were. We understood that building in the current climate was going to its time, but our consultant clearly explained the stages so we were aware of the process. My experience with Gallary Living was extremely disappointing. The biggest issues were the ongoing delays and poor communication throughout the process. Timelines were worst, and it was often difficult to obtain clear and consistent updates regarding the progress of my project. This created significant uncertainty and frustration. **Update** We are now approaching 8 months post handover and are still waiting for maintenance issues to be resolved. Communication is below average and when you do get a response it is played down. I am now having to go to Consumer and business services for the second time to have issues with this builder resolved! Reading more and more of these reviews, they all relate to the same issues. DANGER! AVOID! DO NOT BUILD WITH THIS BUILDER! We built with Gallery Living. We signed our contract in September 2022 and didn’t receive handover until October 2025 THREE YEARS to build a standard home, while we watched other homes around us, built by different builders, completed in roughly 12 months. Before construction even commenced, when we raised concerns and escalated the constant delays, they attempted to hit us with an excessive price increase and claimed they were “ready to go.” That process ended up in mediation w... read more
