Gallery Cabaret is a cushy, though somewhat narrow, Bucktown neighborhood bar and art gallery. Bands perform here several nights a week. Local celebrity blues acts and lounge pianists Ben & Pepper regularly make appearances, and Pepper's art also frequently adorns the walls. Gallery Cabaret has a good selection of beer, though be forewarned—prices are more expensive on weekends. You can also order pizza, if hunger calls. Admission varies.

Newly Remodled – Well all, we were there Saturday 11/12/05 we saw the T-Bone Project and Wolfen. The place is totally redecorated. New bar stools, floor, walls, ceiling. There is even a new stage with an awesome mural of Lincoln Park. Cant find the bathroom? Look for Charlie Chaplin or Mae West. You may even spot Homer here. The drink prices were good, the bartenders are friendly. There was even free hot wings and celery! Wow. What a change from when the last review writers were here. If you havent been here lately youve got... read more
An Oasis and Good People – I highly recommend the open mics on Thursdays and Sundays... it can be an interesting experience. There are regular perfomers who are definately a break from the yuppification of Wicker Park.
Local bands sometimes take the stage at this Bucktown joint. – The Scene The wall behind the bar teems with the owner's collection of (what appears to be) amateur artworks, while the wall opposite holds a monthly showcase of the works of a featured local artist. A magazine rack with back issues of Rolling Stone and a game of pinball also number among the distractions at this Bucktown spot. According to a bartender, Chicago powerhouses Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins and Red Red Meat used to play here way back when. These days t... read more
Cool Dive – I've been here a couple times to see a friend's band play and I've always enjoyed it. The sound is terrible, but the bar has the feel of a good dive. Overall a cool experience.
