I applied several years ago as a volunteer and was accepted in administration. I followed all the instructions. I never heard back from the Fire Department. Sent a bunch of emails, responses were positive, except still nothing. I understood from others that if you were not known to someone in the Fire Department, you are not going to be a part of it. After quite a while I gave up. Never heard back from anyone in the Department.
