RecommendedI have been a regular patient since I moved to Gainesville. Alvaro is family for us. He is the best acupuncturist and an amazing human being. He listens and then comes up with the best treatment. He has helped me with everything from allergies, energy, back pain to mood boosting. I have had three sessions with Dr. Alvaro, and already have had very significant improvement with a herniated/bulging disc in my lower spine. I had been getting regular chiropractic treatments without any change whatsoever. I was quite afraid it was developing into a serious enough issue that was eventually going to require surgery. First time seeking acupuncture care. Went for 3 visits for long-standing pain in shoulder. Very good experience and happy with results. Tried physical therapy and chiropractic care, with no change. Pain reduced and use/range increased. Impressed with the knowledge of Alvaro Toledo and the clarity of explanation he gives. Great bedside manner and impressed with range of care. Highly recommend.
Dr Alvaro is my main physician and has helped treat my insomnia, chronic headaches, anxiety/stress, and digestive issues. I also went to him for a shoulder pain that that had developed due to the physical nature of my work. Dr Alvaro successfully treated my shoulder in just a few visits, which allowed me to work full force again. Dr Toledo is an excellent acupuncturist who knows many techniques to help patients (not just needles). I always feel better after my weekly sessions, and believe the herbal tincture he custom blended for me supports my ligament system's health. I am impressed at the care he takes with me and his Interest in continuing to learn his craft and increase his training and skills with continuing education and reading.
