I saw Dr. Hammond because I was having back pain with some other symptoms such as painful urination and he said that it was not kidney stones and ended the appointment right there. It was a whole 5 minutes of him reading my charts and he ended the appointment. I got a second opinion and it turns out I had a ureteral stricture. Had I trusted the opinions of this professional I would have never received the care I needed.
I was admitted on 3/01/24 with EXCRUCIATING pain. Had surgery the next day, to remove a large kidney stone. After a stent, some complications, and a few days in hospital, I was discharged on 3/06/24 (I was Referred to Dr. Hammond) Dr. Hammond’s nurse called to say I’d be having another surgery on the 14th, and in the meantime I was trying to just survive. Doctor Hammond had solved a blocked ureter issue I had for nearly a decade. He is very confident with what he does and I am forever grateful for what he did for me. Highly recommend.
He is very knowledgeable, professional and treats his patients with warmth and compassion. He is also quite modest about all his vast accomplishments, awards and research work (including a clinical trial) in the field of urology; his lack of pretentiousness and his down-to-earth demeanor only makes him more likeable as a physician & surgeon. Overall, Dr Hammond is an amazing doctor/specialist and Highly recommend!!
