i had a very productive appointment with dr martz and i feel like we have very good information about surgical options to adress my epilepsy
I cannot in good faith recommend Dr Martz for evaluation or treatment of any complex seizure conditions. I am writing this because it is my opinion that the knowledge he exhibited was extremely limited and out of date, and I’m afraid that his lack of understanding multiple seizure types is hurting people — not just me. Dr Martz is the best Epileptologist I have had in 38 years of chronic uncontrollable Epilepsy.
Horrible doctor and human being. I had the misfortune of seeing this “medical professional“ at Hartford Hospital. I had recently had a lumbar puncture and failed blood patch. This doctor told me that there was nothing physically wrong with me, and that I needed to find a therapist and start exercising/lose weight. I was (and still am) LEAKING SPINAL FLUID!! I have been seeing Dr Martz a few years now and he is the first neurologist I have had who offered new options and really wanted to work to improve my quality of life. I would give ten stars if I could!
