my car was misdiagnosed 3 times, replaced the battery, the alternator twice & some1 else put in a bypass button for the starter (which wasn't necessary it turns out) the last diagnosis was to replace the PCM & get another alternator, estimated at possibly up to $1000 to fix! my son has gone to G&E several times & he took my car there ~ they diagnosed the issue, a wire to the starter & fixed it in a day ~ car is now running better than ever, $180 ~ this place ROCKS, i will NEVER go to another mechanic in Lockhart ~ muchas gra... read more
I hate negative reveiws but in this case it is deserved. Apparently the past couple of years was a decline in quality service for this shop. My truck been there three times and only the first time did I get what I asked for. The second two times I asked for a quote and got a $500 bill amd they claimed it to be fixed. Nope!!! Took it back again made it VERY clear I wanted a quote for the repair. Yet again, when I call to check on it i am told "it's fixed", $500 later. Business response:
This truck had multiple problems and was not a simple repair like he is making it out to be. The diagnosis is about 75% of working on cars while the actual repairs sometimes take far less time. The bill reflected the diagnosis and repairs to the vehicle. I regret that we can't make everyone happy but we do try our best.
