Ordered 10 steel plates, for brackets to secure a second story safety rail. Talked with both Balaszar guys, and I am so impressed, I had to share. Procured advertised 3/8" steel flat plate online (ebay) from GA Steel LLC, TX. Plate reacted like spring metal when cut; warping 1/2" over 24" span (see photo #1). 2nd uncut plate was then evaluated with same severe warpage as 1st (see photo #2). Plate included evidence of cold-rolling process for flattening; with surface imperfections flattened against body.
