Waited 40 minutes to get through after calling at 9am and when I finally got to speak to someone from the care navigation team I was told there was no record of me being a patient there, apparently I came through to the wrong practice despite being positive I selected the right number. I explained the situation (that I waited 40 minutes) and the woman was extremely rude and unsympathetic telling me ‘it’s my fault’ and hanging up. Totally useless. If your phoning the appointment line, and your 3rd on the line it can take anything from 30 mins to 50 mins for them to answer. Total rubbish. Come on pull your finger out and get the job done.
I absolutely cannot deal with this practice. The receptionists are typical of practice receptionists, think they know everything but know nothing and cannot even exercise politeness although this is what they want back. Getting a prescription is a nightmare. Calling the telephone only to be told press this, press that and then sitting in a "caller number 4" queue that goes on forever only to speak to someone who has to speak to someone who has to speak to someone and getting nowhere. They are very poor. GPs rearly see you if it is not for the nurses. This practice would have failed years ago. My father complained for years of stomach and intestinal problems they just fobbed him off until one day a blow screening kit from the hospital detected an abnormality turned out it was a stage 4 bowl cancer which he passed from. The Doctors I've seen provide a great service/experience. The method in trying to get an appointment to see one of them... is truly awful.
