Purchased a Groupon for an A/C tune-up and recharge for $69.99. When I arrived, the owner initially claimed the service was valued at $200 and requested an additional $130 at the shop. After I raised concerns, he changed the explanation, stating the actual price was $79.99 (dropped from 200 to 79.99 in few mins!!) and that Groupon had listed it for $69.99 by mistake, demanding $10 extra to complete the service. Wouldn't honor the Groupon price, so I walked out without getting the oil change. Their website lists $45.99 for it, but when I got there they said a "hazardous waste" fee brings it to $73, about $27 more than what's posted. If the real price is $73, just list $73. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME I drove over an hour because they had a Groupon for brake pads that seemed like a great deal, but it ended up being a complete waste of time. The Groupon clearly states that resurfacing or replacing brake rotors may incur additional charges, which reasonably suggests those services are optional if needed. Instead, they refused to install my brake pads unless I also purchased new rotors. I had the air conditioning gas fully recharged at Future Auto, but it stopped blowing cold air after just a few months. But Future Auto didn't responsible service. The Future Auto told me that may be leaking. So I checked leaking or not, but the air con gas doesn't leaking. I recharged gas at other shop.
I gave them a 3 due to the handling of Groupon upon redeeming, they tried to upcharge me for recycling fees and whatever else. Unfortunately, the Groupon did not specify additional charges. The the mechanic was very nice and knowledgeable. The review is really more on attempted bait and switch. The owner/ person in the office finally backed down. And accepted the Groupon. It was very uncomfortable, unethical . I shared with him, "if you want to upcharge for the recycling fee, you needed specify that in the Groupon terms".
