We really enjoyed our 1:00 PM boat tour. Beautiful day and very comfortable pontoon boat. Easily accomodated our group of 11 people. Although the water was pretty choppy from boat traffic, our boat captain did a great job of maneuvering through the wakes smoothly. We went to the North part of the lake to the Dam and were given a brief narrative on the history of the lake. The only heads-up about this tour was that there are 40 pretty steep steps down and up again to get to the floating dock.
Had an enjoyable early evening with a 2 hour pontoon boat rental from FunTime. The whole staff was friendly and helpful and made the experience easy for us. We even got out on the water a few minutes early, so thanks for that. I booked online and got a $5 discount… Do know that there are steep steps down to the boats and the docks are floating so when other boats go by - waves do rock the docks. Just be careful walking out to your boat!! (editorial from this 65-year-old :-)
Our bachelorette weekend wouldn't have been complete without a boat trip around Deep Creek Lake! Our captain, Eric, picked us up from our dock promptly, and ensured we were safe until the end of the ride. Fun Time Water Sports prices are reasonable, and I would highly recommend their services!
We had a horrible time dealing with the onsite manager of FunTime. He wouldn't let our 19-year old niece take out a Wave Runner because her driver's license had been "punched" while she is awaiting her Real ID - even though she had her valid college ID with her birthdate which should have satisfied the "valid ID" requirment. But the worst part was then he said he was still going to CHARGE us for the wave runner he wouldn't rent us. Even though we were already renting two others at the same time.
