This was my first visit at Funky Zen and I couldn’t be happier. The last place I was going to was just not cutting it. The stylist just was not listening to what I wanted. My hair color and highlights were so off. I reached out and spoke with Jesse. He understood the issue and we made an appointment with Juan Carlos. It was the best decision making this move. After relocating to Houston, I’ve struggled to find a salon that felt like the right fit after having the same stylist for over 20 years. I’ve been dying to write this review ever since I left the salon! I’m seriously so happy with my hair right now. The color turned out perfect and the cut is exactly what I was hoping for — it just feels so good. Juan Carlos is seriously amazing. He nailed it on both the color and the cut and made the whole thing super fun. Everyone else there was great too — Jesse, Chaochee, and Nevaeh all made me feel so welcome. If you’re thinking about going, just do it. Funky Zen is the best! Can’t wait to go back.
