When I started Functional Patterns, I’d had daily back pain for nearly two years from severe lumbar disc degeneration - spasms, numbness and tingling down my left arm, and heavily relying on anti-inflammatories. I thought surgery was my only option going forwards. Now after 8 months, I’m pain-free most days and back to living normally. The difference has been huge. I've had chronic pain for the last 10 years. It is technically fybromialgia and hypermobility. I get nerve and joint pain all over. I've seen countless physios and specialists and none of them have been able to improve my circumstances or reduce my pain significantly. 3 months of FP and I was off my pain meds. They made me drowsie so it was a relief to get off them. Pain is still there but very managable. It's been 6 months. I make more progress every day to week. Reducing my pain in small ways day by day. After 4 months of severe back pain and trying everything else my best friend from Perth Kate recommended Functional patterns training. Straggling from the same problem she said the only thing helped her to overcome back pain was FP training. Desperate for help and in so much pain i went to have the first assessment appointment.
