We worked with Functional Kids for over a year for both of our children. One child is neurotypical and the other is neurodiverse (Autism-Level 1, ADHD). OT for our neurotypical child was great. We had no complaints. However, our child with autism struggled with OT. Every week, the Occupational Therapist would send our child into crisis level behavioral episodes and was never able to get them to deescalate (and yes, we gave our child many different motivators and reminders to help support the OT). We love seeing Sarah for OT for our 4 year old son. He asks all the time when he gets to see her next. He says “Sarah helps me learn how to control my body” :)
We have had a great experience at Functional Kids! Miss Kenna has been helpful, kind, and very patient. We have appreciated her listening and working with us and we have seen great progress!
