Fullsteam brewery serves classic and innovative beers crafted with locally farmed ingredients, including sweet potatoes, basil and grapes used in experimental recipes. The industrial, spacious brewery has plenty of room for groups, the occasional live band, arcade games, darts, and ping pong tables. Although Fullsteam does not serve food of its own, visitors are welcome to bring their own, or take advantage of the rotating cast of food trucks that park just outside the bar on most days.

The first brewery my husband and I went to when we moved to the Raleigh-Durham area. Beers are good, I really liked the summer shandy. The food trucks outside are the best.
My favorite NC brewery – I live in Raleigh, but I make special trips to Durham just to visit Fullsteam. The beers are really creative and tasty, and they have a friendly community atmosphere. They are sort of like mad scientists over there, always cooking up something unusual. For example, this week they have a limited edition beer made with fresh cherries. One additional plus: I have found the owner and bartenders to be really friendly and engaged.
Fullsteam is Unique and the Beer is Great! – If you haven't checked out Fullsteam, in Durham, you're missing something special. On peak evenings the place captures a combination of the energy you feel at a ball game and the joy of hard workers fresh from payday on a Friday night. Underwhelmed – If Fullsteam spent less time on marketing and more time on the customer experience I think they'd find great success. The owner can be such a pretentious plonker sometimes. He really shouldn't be interacting with the public, it rubs off on his staff. Video games, bull statues are nice but heat and air conditioning are much better.
