Great Airport great staff
It was my first visit there, very exciting. My wife had arranged a birthday flight for me with a friend/pilot, Jim Pickens. I had never been in a small, single engine plane before but Jim was so good at explaining what was happening as he controlled the plane, at the moment it was happening and why he was looking this way and stopping and talking to the tower!... I was Very Convinced of his ability to fly the plane and I surprisingly had a Great Time! Great Guy and Great Pilot, Ty.
Easy in and out for meeting with the family in Orange County.
The Fullerton community airport is GREAT! There's good food at Wings Airport Cafe, at the base of the control tower. You can also bring a your own snacks and enjoy dining al fresco at the viewing area picnic tables. If you're a pilot, you won't find a friendlier, or more helpful crew of Controllers anywhere. When I'm not flying, I like to get a bite at Wings -- breakfast or lunch, they close at 2:00 -- and then hang out for another hour or two in the viewing area. It makes for a nice, relaxing outing.
