I used to love this park taught all 4 of my children to swim there but since covid it hasent been the same random opening and closing times , the Church across the street reserves the pool for private events so it's closed to the public , to much BS trying to go swimming I hate to say it but don't waste your time, just go to Armour Square a couple miles north. It's not primarily African American so it's ran how it's supposed to be. (Sad to say)
This pool is clean and secure. Very little traffic and the Chief Mate is attentive and firm. Lots of room for waders and the water is warmer than most out door pools. Plenty of parking and great family fun.
