Usually things work so well in our world that care and labor seems, from a distance, like magic. I’ve been to the shop several times for service and things happen smoothly and at a reasonable price. Magic. Today things didn’t go so smoothly, there was a slight mystery of “why is my bike doing this?” The benefit of this? I got to witness the care, knowledge, and skill of the staff as they worked on my bike. I now have a deeper appreciation of magic, especially when it comes to bicycle repair. Thank you Full Moon!
Friday July 3. I thought they were saving me from an early end to my Portland to Portland bike trip. After a short walk I tild manager I had several problems. Broken rear deraikeur cassette shifter... They were about to close early (3pm) for the weekend holiday. They over tightened rear hub and changed the chain while insisting I couldn't help. They never examined the cassette. They sold me a deraileur and a shifter and said I could not install them outside in the lot. i had to remove and reinstall the chain to change derail... read more
