No Fun Allowed – Went in to celebrate a friend's birthday with a group of 8 women on a Friday night. After a good dinner and one drink each the hostess/manager asked us to quiet down. We were a little taken aback but then she got rude. This is no place to go if you want to have a fun evening. I'll never go back again and I live in the neighborhood. What a joke.

Another sushi gem in Sudbury – Excellent, fresh and fast sushi. Expansive and diverse menu - and one of the best selling points of the restaurant is that it has a full japanese menu and the sushi bar and menu is just extra. I have only tried the sushi, however look forward to trying other parts of the menu. You can go alone, at lunch for the sushi bar - or sit in the restaurant for a meal with one or an entire group. Tastefully decorated. Comes up quickly on Boston Post Road - if you are coming from Boston going West on 20 a... read more

dont say i didnt warn you – Go here if you are on a tight budget or if all the other sushi joints are full. you walk in the door and your hair is blown away by the air conditioner above you- no wonder the valet guys stand inside and open the door for you- they need some way to get you to keep walking in to the restaurant.... its noicy- like a diner- and the don't feel that the sushi is fresh enough, or made with care, the edemame- wasnt fresh looking or tasting- i like it warm and salty- this was not all the way warm and har... read more

Excellent sashimi. Very attentive service, too much pressure on quick payment. – I was recommended this restaurant by locals. I am from Sydney, Australia which undoubtedly has some of the best Japanese restaurants around, but Fugakyu lived up to its reputation. I have been a few times, and each time I haven't been disappointed. It has a really fun atmosphere, and great private rooms. I would recommend the Edamame (salted, steamed soya beans) as a starter and the sushi/sashimi boat, which is great value for a group of people.... read more

Great food and service but SMALL rolls for the price – We have been to the Sudbury Fugakyu many times. The sushi is always very good, however, we always find that the rolls are small for the money they charge and thus we are always dissappointed (for this reason, we rarely go here anymore, but go to Oishi down the street. Oishi has been closed for rennovations hence we ended up at Fugakyu last week-end). We often order a number the of specialty rolls, rolls they charge $9-15 for, and find that the same or similar rolls at Oi... read more

an oasis of magnificent japanese cuisine – I stopped in one afternoon on my way back to Boston from Marlboro. They had just opened for the afternoon and I was seated at a great table without delay. The server was very helpful and seemed to anticipate my every need. When the dishes came I was delighted at the beautiful presentation on a Bento Box. Usually a rather bland collection of lunch food this was SUPERB. I had a wonderfully satisfying and healthy lunch highlighted by fresh Miso soup and delicious cuts of prime sushi. t... read more
