The Frying Pan was a former lightship, but eventually fell into disrepair and sunk due to a broken engine. It was bought by its current owners and repaired in the 1980s and now serves as a popular bar and grill. However, the ship still retains its sunken look in the lower levels in order to acknowledge the Frying Pan's long history.

Still awesome after all these years... about that boat life, bring the 🐶 Grab some sangria maybe a lobster roll 🤔drink rum in the sun or grab a pitcher for the fam. Best outdoor bar in NYC!
Had a nice experience. View is gorgeous. Food was ok and lots of drinks �. Hangout bar. Good for relaxing �. Overall had a great time. Good place for socializing
