My spouse was sent here after Sacred Heart. They were held for 9 days. No one called me to give me information. I was left running around to my spouses doctors trying to get help. It wasn’t until I got verbally upset at the nurses and doctors that they were finally let go. They weren’t given ANY help here. Group therapy was coloring time. They saw a doctor 3 times in 9 days. I am starting to understand that acute facilities such as these serve one purpose, to keep a patient safe after a crisis. There seemed to be no interest in the long term success of the patients they serve, and there was no communication with family or the patient (in my case a daughter who is barely 18) to develop a plan for follow-up care or discuss medication management. Horrible place. No communications between family's and staff no communicationbetween staff and clients. Clients are left in the dark about treatment orders and things.that pertain to their health. . Yes they can call out. But they do not give messages to family members placed there. Their staff is rude. The place smells bad. Not clean. I would not have anyone placed. There ever.
