Phantosmia! This is the condition whereby false smells occur that are not actually present. For me, it was often like having my face at the exhaust pipe of a gas-burning car. Let me just start this review by saying Dr Cavanaugh and his team are some of the best people in the medical field I have dealt with in a long time. The office visits were always very comforting and felt very personable unlike what I have experienced at offices run by a bigger entity I shall not name. I was dealing with major nose bleeds months and after noticing a mass had my primary set up a recommended visit with Dr Cavanaugh who was able to see me within a week(which was amazing). Dr. Cavanaugh, Dr. Barak, and everyone at Front Range Otolaryngology & Plastic Surgery were very thorough, helpful, and friendly. I suffered from frequent vertigo and constant severe dizziness for about four months. After many emergency room visits and days spent lying in bed unable to function, I finally called Dr. Cavanaugh’s office and received an appointment within just a few days. Dr. Cavanaugh was great, I came in with ear issues/pain and he was very persistent in getting me fixed up as quickly as possible so that I could go back to feeling normal. I'm confident that he was the best doctor around for the job and I'm really glad I came here first!
Dr. Cavanaugh was extremely thorough when helping me with my sinus issues. I always thought my concerns were addressed and his staff was friendly and able to help quickly. After adjusting reflux meds and that not totally working, he was able to perform a procedure in-office to correct swelling in my sinuses to relieve my pressure and for the first time in years, I don’t feel like a mouth breather and my snoring is gone! If you’re looking for someone to not just rush into sinus surgery, Dr. Cavanaugh is your guy.
