despite bad reviews i went to the friesenhaus and what was i thinking! omg so rude, the waitress and owner gave us nasty looks and made us feel unwelcomed. i am german and this place is an embarrassment for all germans. :-( food wasn't good either, never going there again!

I attended a Birthday Dinner at this place on yesterday! Although I did enjoy my Dinner, the customer service provided by Brittany, a waitress that worked there, was horrible and ridiculous!!! She wouldn't let us bring in a cake for the Birthday Girl. Then she got mad that we refuse to pay tip b/c our friend Kim brought the 15% gratuity to our attention! She snatched Kim's credit card then threw the receipt at her! Her manager backed her up! This was the worst customer service I've ever seen at a restaurant!!!

Worst restaurant experience of my life! Waitresses and owner are very rude, I am still very upset over my experience and can not understand how this restaurant survives. I should've read the reviews before going there, spend way too much money on terribe service and horrible food. This place is a nightmare. You will definitely regret going there.

DO NOT EAT THERE!!! - I am a German and the Food Sucked it did not taste any think that my mother makes/ But that not all i want yesterday for a b-day dinner, and the manger comes up and tel usl that we are not aloud to bring in outside cake and if you want to eat the cake there it 1.50 a person Really, After that we got the food when everyyone was finish we asked for the checks and the waitress got them gave it to us and then we say the 15% grat. and then want a tip no thats good. I love the rolls and love the fact that they have German lunch meat that they order from Chicago. Their desserts are excellent as long as they are fresh and not the ones that have been sitting individually sliced on small plates for 2 days. As for the meals...hmm...very hit and miss. The spicy Texas schnitzel was just inedible, and the Hawaii Schnitzel was too soggy with not much flavor. However the Friesen-toast was delicious with toast, sauerkraut and melted cheese. THIS IS THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I visited this restaurant in June 09' and my experience was good so I decided to take a party of 8 to the resturant June 10'. The food was absolutly horrible. I ended up eating my sons plate. 7 out of 8 meals were not good. The cabbage was mushy and the food was quite bland. The food was also WAY over priced. We went to this restuarant because the german restuarant by us closed down. We looked it up on the internet and saw a couple of good reviews so we decided to drive the 28 miles to try it. Boy, are we glad we did. Not only is the food and service excellent, the atmosphere and entertainment were great! They have live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night. What a treat! I was trying to get an avg price per plate over the phone. The guy didn't let me speak with any one else not a manager or the owner because he didn't understand my question. He continuously interrupted me and never answered my question. I couldn't tell you how bad or good the food is because the customer service to this place automatically turned me off. This place is a joke and they have horrible customer service.
