Friendship Village has been a life saver for my Dad since he came last February. Staff is very professional. knowledgeable, and caring. Thank you to all those who have taken care of my Dad.
My wife and I moved here thee years ago and we love our new home. We have made so many new friends; and we are witnessing what a healthy and friendly community Friendship Village Columbus is for our retirement years.
Wonderful rapport between staff and residents. Everyone mentions the "friendliness" here but it is more than that. True caring and respect abound! It becomes a loving home.....It has been my special home for the last ten years.
Friendship Village Columbus has such a vibrant and welcoming community. I've been involved with FVC for nearly three years now, and I am consistently impressed with the staff's enthusiasm and residents' involvement in the community. There's always something to do on-campus or around town.
There isn't enough staff for the memory care unit. My Mom got out of the facility around 8:30 pm January 2nd and she fell. We were told the 2 aids on the floor were working with a resident and were unable to go after my Mom immediately. They believe my Mom was outside in 30 degree weather for 15 minutes. My Mom was taken to the ER because she was unresponsive when they found her. In regards to Friendship Village, on the whole, I deem it a FAIL. Like anywhere, there are a few good staff members, but the majority appear to care less, and management is lacking in a multitutude of ways. Let's forget for a minute that my father in law is a fat, uncooperative, old goat. Not wanting to deal with him is somewhat forgiveable in my book. I really am glad I came here. Lots to do and friendly neighbors. Also, the staff is always friendly and helpful. It really is a "Friendly Village"!
