this place was sooo cute! definitely great for gift shopping, or even shopping for yourself! lol.
This shop is perfectly located near the hostel I always stay at when visiting and across the street from the L line metro station. I came here twice this trip and will be making Friends a routine stop for trinkets for myself and souvenirs for my loved ones. On my first stop I took it all in and was quickly able to find things for myself and my partner. The staff here are so rude 😭. I walked in wanting to buy the new series of sonny angels. I was told after shaking the boxes that they were for sale even though I was planning on buying a box anyway. I wasn’t aware there was no shaking allowed in the store and there isn’t any signs of not doing so—as i’ve shook boxes here before. For the upcharge on the boxes, the least they could let you do is shake them. Never coming back here again. You’re better off going to toy tokyo.
I bring everyone I know here and get most of my birthday presents here! The store is truly unique in both the quality and variety of gifts sold. They have a pretty decent rewards program too. I have to say… I was a HUGE fan of the clothing when it was sold here. I’m not going to knock down any stars because I’m sure it was a business decision to get rid of it, but just wanted to share
